Pick n Pay Easter

For Pick n’ Pay’s Easter promotion, we brought two anthropomorphised bunny characters to life using just a few still images. Starting with a single asset (including a version with sunglasses), we manually edited the bunnies into different poses using Photoshop. From there, we created a 360-degree turntable animation to train an AI model to understand the characters from all angles—enabling us to generate new animations aligned with the campaign’s script.

The AI-generated animations were created on solid backgrounds for easy green-screening. Lipsync was handled using the provided voice tracks, but we ran into a quirky challenge: the bunnies’ teeth were throwing off the animation, so we excluded them during training and composited them back in afterward. Everything was then assembled in After Effects, where we built playful 3D scenes for social media—turning still images into energetic, character-driven Easter content.

We used the latest AI video models available at the time to pull this off, and as the technology evolves, we’re staying right on its heels—pushing the limits of what’s possible with limited assets and smart, adaptive workflows.
